Concentration in Technology Education

List of Courses

These courses are designed to prepare one to implement a standards-based program in Technology Education, to conduct research, and to share knowledge with the profession. Many states are also offering loan forgiveness for Technology Education teachers, and Valley City State University is the first of its kind in the nation to be offered completely online.
Core Courses
Concentration Requirements

The Master of Education in Technology Education requires 36 hours of coursework, an action research study, and an oral defense of a comprehensive portfolio. The curriculum is structured around a set of core requirements that provide a broad foundation in education, research, and technology. All M.Ed. students are required to complete 12 hours of core courses and three hours of Special Program courses.

These courses are designed to support the student in completing graduation requirements culminating in the program's core values as outcomes.
Students must select one of the following OPTIONS to complete the concentration in Teaching and Technology.
Option 1: Secondary STEM Education

In addition to the core courses and program requirements, student must complete 18 hours of required courses and 3 hours of Elective courses.
